Can you use your product MAUS Stixx PRO if you have a boat with an outboard?

Yes, you absolutely can. For outboards over 100 HP, we recommend at least 2 MAUS Stixx PRO to guarantee fast and efficient extinguishing. You simply remove the cover and attach the units with the openings down towards the motor for best detection. At 180 degrees, the units are activated and fill the space under the cover with the potassium mix that dampens and extinguishes the fire. Completely without damaging extinguishing residues as MAUS technology extinguishes with a completely non-toxic potassium mix.

What do you recommend for fire protection on board?

According to most insurance requirements, all motorized boats must have at least a two-kilogram powder fire extinguisher on board. If the boat is longer than 10 metres, you must have at least two. A fire blanket is good for quickly extinguishing smaller fires. Fire alarms are especially important to have if you sleep in your boat. We recommend all boat owners to install a MAUS Stixx Pro in their boat in the spaces where gas, electronics and batteries are stored. We also recommend having a MAUS Xtin Klein for a boat under 10 meters and a MAUS Xtin Grand for a boat over 10 meters. What do I do if a fire starts on board?

If the accident is imminent, turn off the engine. Turn off the fuel/gas system. Turn off the main power. Use the MAUS fire extinguisher first.
